EducationUC Davis - BA, Economics
ExperienceIf I were asked to describe my style of tutoring, I would have to say that it is Socratic. I feel this way because my goal is to assist students in developing long term methods of problem solving and self-motivation. I work hard to ensure that my students have the necessary skills to become independent learners as they continue in their education.I earned a Bachelor of Arts at the University of California, where I majored in Economics and minored in English. I am now working on earning my teaching credentials. In the interim, I have been working extensively as a tutor. Although I find myself primarily working with students in SAT prep and Math, I am also available to tutor in Economics. However, I have found a particular enjoyment in helping students prepare for their standardized exams because it allows me to work with them on their Reading and Writing.I am a big fan of board games; games of strategy and Economics were made for each other. When the weather permits, I also enjoy backpacking, hiking, and skiing.
HobbiesBoard games, skiing, backpacking, movies, PC games.
