Experience
My education experience is as a pre-economics/mathematics student. I currently attend the University of California in Santa Barbara. I enjoy tutoring various mathematics subjects, as well as some business and economics subjects. My experience has brought me in contact with many elementary and middle school students. I also have experience with tutoring teenagers who are placed in elementary level classes. Becoming a tutor on the site was something I did for many reasons, and I am glad I got involved. I wanted to expand my experience in a professional manner, help students learn new concepts, and enrich my community with more learning and education. I believe I've fulfilled all of these things in my team working with students. I try to tutor by being a mentor and not a teacher. I don't stand over students in some position of authority; I prefer to get in the work and helping while by their side. Often students have enough teachers and need a new perspective who takes a different approach with them. I love helping with individual problems and watching a student first grasp onto a new concept. Outside of class and tutoring, my hobbies are writing poetry, watching anime, and taking photographs of cats.
